Endless Eight - Day One B
Haruhi might like someone who doesn’t give in to her demands all the time, unlike another certain Brigade member you know.
“OK, because we only have two bikes Koizumi will carry Mikuru while Kyon-kun will take me and Yuki, understood?” Haruhi ordered.
“Eh, I don’t think so.” You reply.
Asahina-san gives out a small cry and Koizumi stares in your direction. This is nothing, of course, to the glare that Haruhi is giving you.
“…What did you say?” Haruhi asks as if she heard you wrong.
“Taking all of us on just two bikes is way too much effort. The pool is only a 15 minute walk away, it’d be good for all of us to get some exercise. Not just Koizumi and me. Learn to accept your own share of the work.” You say.
Haruhi simply looks at you. You can’t tell if she’s angry or happy, which is actually starting to scare you a little. Asahina-san continues to whimper and Koizumi simply looks into your eyes. Nagato has simply been standing still observing this entire time. Whatever, while Haruhi thinks about her reply you’ll just stare at nothing in particular…
After what seemed like an eternity, Haruhi simply closes her eyes and walks past you in the direction to the pool.
“Whatever.” She says.
Asahina-san and Nagato soon begin walking as well and you decide to as well. As you do, Koizumi strolls up beside you.
“That was a very strange thing you did just now.” Koizumi states.
“Really? I just didn’t feel like getting beat after just one bike ride is all.” You reply.
“I just hope that for our sakes Suzumiya-san isn’t angered greatly by this.” Koizumi says.
The rest of the walk to the pool was a quiet one.
At the pool, Haruhi and Asahina-san are simply floating amongst the crowd in the pool. Nagato, who you remember has complete knowledge of every loop, is sitting by herself again seemingly lost in thought but you know better.
Looking out into the pool, you think that maybe Haruhi might like it if you give her a bit of a scare. Or maybe just going up and suggesting something to do might help show that you’re not a bad guy and let her see that there’s a nice guy beneath your cold, sarcastic shell.
